As the Category Director, you are the “Category Captain.” You take the high-level global brand vision from the CBO and transform it into a commercially powerful, actionable category plan. You lead through influence and strategy, guiding a “Category Squad” that spans from R&D and Design to Sales and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Innovation

  • Roadmap Ownership: Translate global strategies into multi-season roadmaps with clear innovation themes.
  • Product Direction: Provide strategic briefs to R&D and Design teams, ensuring every product aligns with consumer needs and brand identity.

Portfolio & Commercial Architecture

At North Actionsports, home to iconic watersports brands including North Kiteboarding, North Foils, North Windsurfing, and Mystic, we design and build world class equipment for riders who demand the highest levels of performance and reliability. Everything we create, from first concept to final production, is driven by innovation, precision engineering, and a deep connection to life on the water.

As Junior Product Graphic Designer North, you are the creative force behind the visual identity of the complete North product collection excluding Apparel. From wetsuits and harnesses to protection gear, accessories, hardware, and bags, you define how North products look, feel, and communicate at product level.

You lead seasonal visual direction, develop graphic systems and color architecture, and ensure every product speaks the North language clearly, consistently, and powerfully. This is a purely creative role focused on visual design, brand identity, and storytelling. All technical engineering and construction development remains with Technical Leads and Technical Designers, while you work closely with them to ensure ideas are production ready and perform in the real world.

Positioned at the intersection of brand, category, and product, you translate high level creative direction into best in class product graphics that elevate North’s presence on the water and in the market.

What You Will Be Working On

You lead the visual execution across the full North hardgoods and equipment range, including

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction and Product Visual Identity

  • Define and lead the seasonal creative vision for all North product graphics
  • Own North’s product level visual identity, graphic systems, and design language

  • Ensure all product visuals align with North’s brand DNA, tone of voice, and category strategy
